A Short Summary
Down here I've listed some examples of my work, in projects for college/university, as well as personal and professional projects. I've played different parts in the making of many of these, and while I remain the most interested in writing, I always love being on set no matter what I'm doing for the shoot. Each example of work also details what I did during the production and the year it was made.
My Work
YAWN-DRY DAY - 2021, made for university
Yawn-dry Day was my first university project, which I conceptualised and directed to adhere to the brief that we needed to create 'a strong sense of space'. This project is one I feel that best showcases my personal visual aesthetic, with bright colours and quick, snappy editing.

PENNY FOR A POEM - 2022, made for university
Penny For A Poem was my first venture into documentary filmmaking, which I did the cinematography for. It was interesting to explore different shots and angles to create a strong visual style and an engaging profile of our subject.

SLOW & STEADY - 2022, made for university
Slow & Steady was my first time not directing a narrative film that I had written. While issues with set location did affect the end product of the film, I feel that the film still showcases the individuality and ambition of the project, and its potential as a short comedy film.

NIGHTMARE ON DEAN STREET - 2023, independent professional production
My experience as a production assistant/runner for the music video Nightmare on Dean Street was invaluable, as it gave me insight into how professional sets work, and the multiple different roles needed to keep a shoot on track for time. I was able to help in more practical aspects of the production such as setting up equipment as well as begin to forge working relationships with industry professionals.

CARPET - 2020, for college
Carpet was a fully independently created short narrative film for my final college project. I wrote, shot, directed and edited the film, and while I do feel that the story and themes could've been showcased better, I see it as a concept I would like to revisit, as I still feel proud of the originality and ambition of the story.

THE LOVE WITCH TRAILER - 2020, personal project
While in college, I was part of a club that set up cinema screenings in our theatre, which included gaining the licensing to screen the films and advertising upcoming events. I made this trailer independently, using all footage from Anna Biller's The Love Witch in order to generate interest in the screening. I feel that this project helped me begin to hone in on and recognise the importance of having good editing skills, as they are so crucial to a final project.
